Apple Multisport Festival Coverage - New venue. New format. More options. There was a lot going on yesterday at Sartell High School, a lot of ways to celebrate movement and fitness. While runners did their thing, and time-trialers as well, duathletes and triathletes comprised the lion's share of the entrants. Apple is a 42-year-old event, with it's 41st duathlon setting the stage, and the new pool swim triathlon celebrating its first of what is hoped to be decades of birthdays.
Mild, cloudy with negligible winds, May 19 was perfect for racing and those expected to set the pace did just that. Since 500 yards of swimming should take less time than the 5K run that kicked off the...

Ironman Chattanooga 70.3 Race Report - My first pro race. Although, I qualified to get my “pro card” in both my 70.3 races last year, I struggled feeling like I really belonged there. However, I was really excited to experience all that racing on a pro level entailed, learn a ton and have fun out there. It was such a cool experience! All the women I met were so nice and so welcoming. I learned a lot, made new friends, got to catch up with old ones.
The swim: Except for Kona, I’ve never had a mass start type of swim. It was definitely an all out brawl for the first few minutes. I could feel myself getting a little panicky but I was able to take some breaths and not go there. I settled in with a group for maybe the first half and realized I could go faster. So I went ahead of them and was on my own for the last half of the swim. I learned some tactical lessons that I’ll implement next race.
My time was close to last year but this year was without the aid of a wetsuit. So probably a better swim comparatively....

Tri Clear Lake Olympic race report: I want to first say this. Thank you @triclearlake for putting on such a great race! From all the volunteers to the beautiful course it was all fantastic! Also it was a pleasure to be able to compete in a race with retired pro @tollakson6 when I first got into triathlon I’d watch his YouTube and and study up on how I could make it possible to go pro! So if you haven’t check out @dimondbikes they are LEGIT!
Next I will say this. I am proud of our athletes who competed this weekend! @dripmultisports is just getting started and I am so excited for what is to come for our team! (Big announcements coming soon!).
Now for me: I will say this, yesterday was the best I have EVER raced which is exciting because I know I still have lots of room for improvement!...

Race report—Pigman Sprint Triathlon - The weekend of Trinona I will graduate high school. This winter, as I planned for this summer’s schedule, I wanted to focus on transitioning to what racing will look like as an adult. For the last several years my first weekend in June was tied up by draft legal racing. So, this summer I decided to step back from the elite draft legal series and race more local options. One of the races I had heard great things about and was eager to try was Pigman. Since this was also billed as the Iowa High School State Championship I was extra motivated to try and hit this race hard....

Texas 70.3 Race Report - Signing up for an early Spring can be a very risky move living in Minnesota, but when you have a mild Winter it can lead to great success. So the expectations and goals were set high for Texas 70.3.
Swim: The swim is always an adventure. I was feeling confident going into the swim, but as soon as I got in I felt like crap and was taking in a ton of salt water. My head started playing games and was thinking this was the worst swim of my life and that all my goals for the day were done for. So I just started going through the motions just to get it done. When I got to the mat, I was shocked to see that I just set a PR on the swim. My mood quickly changed and we were on a mission.
Bike: We couldn’t ask for a better day to bike along the Gulf of Mexico. No headwinds and just a slight crosswind with clouds at first and the sun coming out halfway through. The goal for the day was sub 2:20 so we just went for it. The miles were clipping along and I was making...

ED. We posted a story of Corey's win at Neosho Sprint last Wednesday. Here are Corey's words about that experience.

I have never raced this early in a season before. In the Midwest, April racing just isn’t a thing, heck racing in May is barely a thing! I was in southern Missouri visiting my girlfriend and decided it would be a fantastic opportunity for me to do this race in a town about 15 miles south of Joplin. If anyone from Missouri reads this, I am sorry I do not consider you Midwest.
The weather is always on our minds for any distance race, this one was no different. All week long it rained every single day, like clockwork. Two days prior to the race I drove an hour further south to ride in Bentonville, AR. It was wet but it didn’t rain, so I considered it a success. The day of the the race was – a term my sister and I like to use- “dumb windy”.
I got a small warmup ride in before the race to see the course and the one significant hill. Very glad I did so I knew what to expect. The swim was in the Neosho YMCA pool and it was a snake pattern which is...
