On Saturday morning, Detroit Lakes greeted us with a thick blanket of fog. We were joking that they would need to attach beepers to the buoys and blinking lights to the athletes

The only difficulty now was that the long course athletes had to swim directly into the sun, which made spotting the buoys, which were few and far apart, difficult. But, as far as I know we all made it, at least I have not heard of anybody getting lost out there.
